Guests at the Nencki Institute

On April 16th a group of high school students from Bydgoszcz visited the Institute. The group of 30 people participated in the workshop prepared by the four laboratories.

Young people have a chance to learn the basics of magnetic resonance, find out if they can read in mind, learn the process of creating images in a variety of microscopes and become familiar with the customs in the animal world, starting from the hierarchy prevailing in the world of ants, finishing on the mating behavior of miniature possum female.
All participants listened with interest to the presentations and results of research conducted at the Institute. We are very thankful to the Laboratory of Brain Imaging, Confocal Microscopy, Laboratory of Ethology and Animal House staff for their help in conducting the workshops.

The visit was organized with funding from the project Bio-IMAGmaging in research and Education INovation (BIO-IMAGINE).
